How to create a local dev Apache Mysql PHP Setup on Mac OS X ‣ Digital Zoom Studio

Normally, you can just install the native mysqld service

pecl install xdebug

normally this will be added to php.ini

zend_extension="xdebug.so"

using XDebug 3 – for phpstorm, you would also need to add

xdebug.mode=debug
xdebug.remote_port=9000
xdebug.client_port=9003
xdebug.client_host=localhost

If you add multiple hosts, you can use the <VirtualHost> Tehnique

remember to add your entry to /private/etc/hosts

127.0.0.1 devsite devsite.local

you can flush dns cache with sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
